Turquoise-Colored Crakled Heart-Shaped Stone Earrings
These are a unique pair of earrings consisting of turquoise-colored crackle stone in the shape of a heart. The stone is not turquoise - may possibly be howlite. They measure 1 1/4" excluding the French wires.
These were made by Holly Of Galisteo. She is known for her creations using a large percentage of reclaimed, recycled, and repurposed items in her art and jewelry. Although she does use new items as well; she incorporates new and not-so-new into everything she makes so each item has a bit of mystique and a story. This practice also allows her to keep the cost down so she can pass the savings on to her customers.
The French wires are NOT sterling silver. They may possibly be surgical steel but many of the wires are reclaimed from broken or mismatched earrings and reused. They have been soaked in alcohol prior to use but their exact metal compound is not known.
